Arlington is set to host its inaugural Texas Veterans Day Parade on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the city’s Entertainment District. This event, organized by the Texas Veterans Day Parade in Arlington Foundation and sponsored by the City of Arlington, aims to honor military veterans and foster community spirit.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure optimal viewing spots along the parade route. The procession will feature over 100 entries, including a Bell Helicopter flyover, participation from the Medal of Honor Museum, ROTC units from Texas Tech and Baylor, performances by bands from all Arlington ISD high schools, an induction ceremony, and a drone show. The evening will culminate with live music at Texas Live! starting at 7:00 p.m.
Major General Patrick Henry Brady, a retired U.S. Army officer and Medal of Honor recipient, will serve as the Grand Marshal. Actor and Marine Corps veteran Barry Corbin is slated to be the master of ceremonies.
In addition to the festivities, the parade will collect new, unwrapped toys for donation to Toys for Tots, encouraging attendees to contribute to this charitable cause.
