Arlington Parks & Recreation Announces Exciting September Events Lineup

As the summer season begins to wind down, Arlington Parks & Recreation is gearing up to keep the fun going with a series of engaging events throughout September. Residents of all ages can look forward to a diverse array of activities, from unique community gatherings to creative workshops, ensuring the vibrant spirit of summer continues into the fall.

Doggie Dip Pool Pawty – Saturday, September 7 Dog owners and their furry friends are invited to the Howard Moore Play Pool for the Doggie Dip Pool Pawty. This event offers a refreshing opportunity for dogs to splash around and enjoy the water. Small dogs can have their fun from 9-10 AM, followed by time for larger dogs from 10:15 – 11:15 AM. Pre-registration is $5 per dog, while day-of admission will be $7 per dog.

Paint Night at Ventana – Friday, September 13 Ventana Grille will host a paint night where participants can enjoy a guided session to create their own artworks, with dinner and a non-alcoholic beverage included. Attendees are encouraged to bring a decorated apron for a chance to win a gift card to Ventana Grille. The event requires pre-registration, and additional food and drinks are available for purchase.

Dottie’s Woodland West Centennial Car Show – Saturday, September 14 Celebrate 100 years of Arlington Parks and Recreation at Dottie’s Woodland West Centennial Car Show. Car enthusiasts are welcome to display their vehicles, whether classic or modern, and connect with fellow community members. This free event runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, and those wishing to enter their car can register online.

Aging Well Expo – Wednesday, September 18 The Aging Well Expo, tailored for adults aged 50 and older, will take place at the Esports Stadium Arlington & Expo Center from 9 AM – 2 PM. This event promises a day full of activities, with more than 100 vendors, fitness demonstrations, health screenings, and educational presentations aimed at motivating seniors to lead healthier lifestyles.

Family Video Game Night – Saturday, September 28 The Beacon Recreation Center invites families to a fun evening of video gaming from 6-9 PM. The event features a mix of classic and contemporary games, with pizza included in the $10 registration fee per person. This family-friendly event is an excellent opportunity for community members to connect and enjoy a lively Saturday night.
