During the 2023-2024 school year, Arlington’s Information Technology Department partnered with Mansfield ISD’s Ben Barber Innovation Academy to offer a hands-on internship program for high school seniors. This initiative is part of the city’s broader effort to engage local students in professional environments that complement their STEM education, providing invaluable experience and mentorship in information technology.

The internships allowed four high school seniors to delve into the practical aspects of IT careers, aligning their academic pursuits with real-world applications within the municipal government.
